Ballet Hispanico!

A show with all the vibrancy, electricity, and passion of West Side Story, without the violence of New York City.

On Sunday I had the opportunity to attend a performance at the Cutler Majestic Theatre, titled Ballet Hispanico. This was my first ballet, so I was a little nervous. However, the performance was so much more than a traditional ballet. It incorporated modern dance, jazz, salsa, stage theatre – just to name a few.

I was so impressed with the level of athleticism among the dancers. The strength and stamina each one possessed was awe-inspiring. The colorful costumes were visually stunning – they seemed to pull from many cultures and styles including Spanish, Cuban, Salsa, Flamenco (but I’m no expert).

Don’t miss an opportunity to see Ballet Hispanico in their international travels!
